Meeting up with Eric Bostrom
Jamie meets up with long term friend and motorcycle legend Eric Bostrom
I’ve known Eric for a while and was thrilled when he agreed to take part in a RideApart episode as he’s a very creative who was bringing his own custom Z1000/KR750for a spin, so I decided it was a good time to show him my custom ride and see what he thought to my contraption.
The day started out at the Rock Store on Mulholland Highway, a great start to any motorcycling day as you are surrounded by fabulous motorcycling roads and great viewsand vista points.
After chatting about the builds, swapped bikes, Eric then took me to see his friend Mark who has an amazing collection of vintage motorcycles.
It turned out to be an amazing collection of mainly racing motorcycles that had won many races back in their day, you could feel the competition and historic presence in the room and it was a thrill looking and sitting on many of the machines.
Eric Bostrom is a bloody nice bloke who can ride the wheels of any machine, it was a joy following him and his KR750 through the Malibu Hills while lighting up the silent air with my ear blasting street fighter.
