The Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak model is the result of Ducati’s successful experience at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, one of the most famous hill-climb races in the world. This unique race takes place in the Rocky Mountains since 1916. A set of breath-taking curves lead the brave riders from an altitude of 2800 meters up to 4300.
This year, the moto-adventurer Jamie Robinson, travelled from Los Angeles to Colorado Springs on the new Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak, and then raced the bike on the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
Inspired by the legendary race, the Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak model conveys all the strength that has made it successful on the famous American track.
Lightweight carbon fiber components highlight the sporty character of the new Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak. The dedicated livery underlines the racing heritage that exists deep inside every Ducati. The Pikes Peak features the same innovative features as the new Multistrada 1200 S further equipped with enhanced components and a race-inspired look.
High performance, manually adjustable Öhlins suspension front and back enhance handling and precision. The fork features preload and damping adjustment via the top cap, allowing riders to tailor the fork to their preference. The gold finish also enhances the racing design of the Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak.
The homologated Ducati Performance by Termignoni silencer adds a powerful and sporty exhaust note to the typical Ducati V-Twin sound. The system features a specially designed single tailpipe with a carbon fibre sleeve.
